I am not a big fan of choco-on-choco cookies either. But I totally loved these cookies. Go figure! I think thats why I like baking. The science nerd in me gets to have fun experimenting AND reap the rewards of the outcome too! Win win! Glad you and the family enjoyed the recipe!

It’s really amazing how the smallest of changes can alter a dish when you’re baking. It’s even more amazing when I see people who are able to bake perfectly without really measuring things out…I suppose it just gets to the point that you gain so much experience that you just get an eye for it. At least they still taste great though!

I know exactly what you mean about cookies changing texture the next day, these stayed exactly the same as they did the day before. I think I’m going to really try and underbake them more next time. I’m afraid ofa dding butter and having the cookies melt into a puddle like the brown sugar pecan cookies I made. Your cookies look extra decadent!
